Midwest AI/Machine Learning Initiative—powered by AWS

The Midwest AI/Machine Learning Initiative supports higher-education faculty and institutions across the Midwest in strengthening their artificial intelligence/machine learning education, applied learning, and workforce alignment.

The Initiative provides relevant resources and intensive training for Midwest community colleges and HBCUs, as well as other colleges and universities which serve underrepresented populations in the STEM sectors.

What’s in it for faculty?

Faculty gain access to hands‑on bootcamps, AWS‑aligned resources, and applied learning experiences—and have the option of mentoring students in the AI/ML Student Business Case Competition to strengthen project‑based, real‑world instruction.

What’s in it for students? 

Students put AI into action by competing in the Midwest AI/ML Student Business Case Competition—solving real‑world problems, building in‑demand skills, and gaining recognition across the region.

What’s in it for administrators? 

Administrators strengthen institutional capacity in AI and machine learning through faculty development, student applied learning, and regional programming aligned with workforce needs and industry partners.
