AWS Academy Cloud Foundations

This course is intended for students who are looking to enter cloud services as a career. The course supplies an overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. In addition, the course will prepare students for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01) exam. Included in the course is free access to a sandbox that supplies an environment for ad-hoc exploration of AWS services. The class will conclude with the instructor-coach sharing tips and best practices for studying and passing the AWS Practitioner exam.

Prerequisites:

Students who are interested in a career in cloud-based infrastructure, and who have a basic understanding of IT concepts and definitions. Although students may start without any AWS experience, ideally, they should have 6 months, or the equivalent, of active engagement with the AWS Cloud, with exposure to AWS Cloud design, implementation, and/or operations.

Expected time commitment:

3 hours/week for 12 weeks (36 hours total)
