ISACA Information Technology Certified Associate

This pathway contains all five of the requirements for the ISACA Information Technology Certified Associate (ITCA) certification program:

  1. Computing Fundamentals
  2. Networks and Infrastructure Fundamentals
  3. Cybersecurity Fundamentals
  4. Software Development Fundamentals
  5. Data Science Fundamentals

By completing all five sections of this pathway and earning your ITCA certification, you'll stand out to potential employers. Not only will you have a foundational understanding of essential IT concepts, but also validated skill sets.

Completing all five ITCA courses also means you could be eligible to take these classes at no-cost through our Future Ready program. Students who do not complete the ITCA certification will be responsible for payment of their pathway's tuition.

Computing Fundamentals will help you build a base-level knowledge and skillset through a hybrid learning approach to information technology (IT)—specifically in the areas of basic computing, networks, virtualization, and security. You'll expand your understanding of how computers are used to gather, store, process, and synthesize data—especially across networks.

Networks and Infrastructure Fundamentals offers you the opportunity to build a base-level knowledge and skill set of the key concepts and terminology of computer networks and internets, network and infrastructure standards, protocols and models, basic network components, topologies, functions, and processes. You'll be able to explain simple and complex networks, security, remote access, and network virtualization.

Cybersecurity Fundamentals offers hybrid knowledge and hands-on learning. You'll gain insight into the principles of data and technologies that frame and define cybersecurity, its language, and the integral role of cybersecurity professionals in protecting enterprise data and infrastructure.

Software Development Fundamentals teaches you the key concepts and principles of software development through a hybrid of knowledge-based lessons and hands-on training labs. You'll gain insight into software development methodologies, concepts, standards, and basics.

Data Science Fundamentals shows you how to use data to make informed business decisions, honing your ability to extract information from data sets and understand key data-analysis concepts. You'll be able to explain data characteristics, types, uses, and structures, define different data management systems, and talk to the basic concepts and procedures for data governance.
