This is a hands-on, online program designed to prepare beginning learners for entry-level jobs in IT support. Developed by Google, the program covers the fundamentals of IT support, including troubleshooting, customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, and security.
Prerequisites:
While the Google IT Support Professional (ITSP) Certificate course is beginner-friendly, it is neither entry-level nor basic. The following skills are a helpful foundation to succeed in this course:
- Some understanding of how to navigate between software programs, browsers, and multiple open windows
- Some knowledge of command-line interfaces and how to utilize them
- Some understanding of Microsoft’s MS Windows and its structure
Expected time commitment:
1 hour/week for 23 weeks (137 hours of coursework)
